The Basement Theatre Company was founded in 2005. The name was a natural choice since our rehearsal space was located in the basement of the library in the village of Kilmacolm, Inverclyde, Scotland.
We now rehearse in Paisley
The company is run by it’s two co~founders who have a wide range of experience from amateur productions to professional theatre and film.
Actors are invited in for specific productions. We are working to two productions per year at present and in October 2011 we performed one of our own plays. This is a development we hope to continue and also to look at performing new writers’ work.
